Rock Creek Baptist Church has been in existence for 149 years. RCBC's primary base was Washington, D.C. In 2016, RCBC re-located to Upper Marlboro, Maryland and began the ministry of Rock Creek Christian Academy (K3-12th Grades) in addition to the church ministry. RCBC has 77.69 acres in Blessed Land that will soon be the site for Future Community Development & Senior Dwelling.
It is our mission to grow people from the inside out with the Love of God. This holistic approach to ministry allows us the opportunity to help develop the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical parts of individuals and the community with the Word of God.

Dr. Jeffrey L. Mitchell, Sr., Senior Pastor
Reverend Dr. Jeffrey L. Mitchell, Sr. is the pastor of Rock Creek Baptist Church, a Christ-centered and mission-minded body of believers. RCBC is truly home for Pastor Mitchell because it is where he accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized as a child in 1975. On January 18, 1991, Pastor Mitchell was elected the 8th Pastor of RCBC. Pastor Mitchell was ordained on October 19, 1991 and officially installed on December 8, 1991. Pastor Mitchell was joined in Holy Matrimony on November 18, 1989 to First Lady Evelyn Mitchell. They are proud parents of Jeffrey Jr., Jasmine, Jessica and Jolene Mitchell.
